Best Match Recruitment is seeking a practical and technically minded Security Systems Technician for ongoing casual work across Gippsland.

Working across residential and commercial properties, you will undertake a variety of installation, maintenance and fault-finding tasks. This opportunity will suit someone with strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and an interest in security and electronic equipment.

About the Role

• Varied duties and projects, with no two days the same

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and diagnose faults in alarm systems, CCTV, access controls and intercoms.
• Install data cabling, fibre optic wiring and phone points.
• Assess equipment faults and trace their sources.
• Install TV antenna systems and fit audio and visual equipment.
• Fit Wi-Fi equipment and connect devices to networks.
• Deliver professional customer service and maintain a high standard of workmanship.

Skills and Requirements

• National Police Check and Working with Children Check or willingness to secure these.
• Security Provider Licence preferred but not essential.
• Current manual driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Strong attention to detail and an interest in security and electronic equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional presentation.
• Ability to work safely at heights using ladders and in confined roof spaces.
